Today, we have a huge number of different monitors on the market, so when the term “gaming” is assigned to a particular model, it is now quite a broad term. Sometimes it was known exactly what the gaming monitor is and what kind of features it brings, because these features were not so much. Today there are many more types, primarily whether it’s a TN or IPS gaming monitor, whether it has a 16: 9 or 21: 9 ratio of pages, whether it has FreeSync or G-Sync support. Also, what refresh rate does it have, whether it’s 60, 120, 144 or 180Hz, and whether its response is 1ms or 5ms depending on the screen technology. We met with various variations of the above mentioned features, so that many monitors that are gaming-oriented are not exclusively optimized for this purpose.

Asus ROG Swift PG248Q is exactly like that, so this is a “real” gaming monitor, combining the most important qualities to play – an extremely low turnout, high refresh rate and adaptive technology refresh. The struggle between IPS and TN panel is still ongoing, with the IPS recently adopted by many more for better display and wider viewing angles. Nevertheless, TN is still in the advantage of the response, and also offers a higher maximum refresh rate. First of all, the code of the model reveals the diagonal, it is a slightly smaller 24 inches, so that in addition to the powerful 27-inch models, or 34-inch 21: 9 gaming model looks smaller.

The panel is TN type, and we have information that is produced by the famous corporation AU Optronics. Today, when the current 4K monitors and 1440p models, 1080p resolution, which is present on PG248Q not so high. This again means that for gaming it does not require an extremely powerful machine, so FullHD can in some way be an advantage. Although you do not need to have the most powerful graphics such as when playing in 4K, it is advisable to have Nvidia graphics model of the new generation in order to have the support of the G-Sync which is available on this monitor.
